Kirk Cousins has found another landing spot.
The former Falcons quarterback has agreed to join the Las Vegas Raiders, according to a report Thursday by ESPN. The Raiders have the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft and they are expected to select Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Cousins will sign a five-year contract worth $172 million, with one year guaranteed for $20 million and two years of team options worth $80 million total.
He further reported that the Falcons will pay Cousins $8.7 million for 2026 and the Raiders $1.3 million, along with $10 million fully guaranteed for the 2027 league year.
Cousins, 37, spent the last two seasons with the Falcons, and he will have a reunion with Raiders offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, whom he crossed paths with on the Vikings. Cousins had signed a four-year deal worth $180 million before the team drafted Michael Penix Jr. in the first round soon after Cousins’ signing.
With the Falcons, Cousins had an injury that limited his production and led to the change, moving Penix into the starting role to finish that season and into last season.
After Penix suffered an ACL injury midway through last season, Cousins regained the starting job, helping the Falcons finish with four consecutive wins.
