Ozzie Albies provided the heroics for the Netherlands on Saturday in the World Baseball Classic.

With the Netherlands down to its final out, Albies took the first offering from Nicaragua reliever Angel Obando and launched it 411 feet into the right-field seats at loanDepot Park in Miami to give the Netherlands a 4-3 win. Albies’ homer was the first walk-off home run in the history of the World Baseball Classic.

Ceddanne Rafaela (single) and Xander Bogaerts (double) had reached base ahead of Albies to keep the Netherlands alive.

Albies is now 2-for-8 with four RBIs in two WBC games. The Netherlands (1-1) is next scheduled to face the Dominican Republic at noon Sunday.
