Home of Raffensperger spokesman struck by gunfire

Montgomery later posted images on Instagram showing bullet holes in the couple’s living room, bedroom and exterior windows.

“I’m used to covering these crimes, not living in them,” she wrote.

“Literally everywhere we look, we find a new bullet hole,” she said in another post.

Sinners said the home was struck by roughly 30 bullets.

Atlanta police declined to comment to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution but said earlier Thursday that two men opened fire near their home and were later arrested after attempting to flee. No injuries were reported. The suspects are facing multiple charges.

Raffensperger, his family and members of his staff have faced threats since they rejected false claims that President Donald Trump won Georgia in 2020 and resisted his push to reverse the election results.

Sinners is a former campaign operative for Trump who once served as a notary public on a lawsuit to decertify Georgia’s 2020 presidential election.

But Sinners has since rejected false election conspiracies before landing a job as Raffensperger’s communications director ahead of the 2022 midterms, where he’s worked to boost public confidence in election results.

“Acts of violence have no place in our society, and I think it’s imperative that anyone in leadership takes the temperature down,” Sinners said. “We shouldn’t even be thinking of political violence as a possibility.”
