Traffic is moving, but heavy delays remain on the way out of Marietta toward Sandy Springs.

Lanes are back open after a four-vehicle crash blocked I-285 East just past I-75 in Cobb County early Tuesday.

The collision happened around 6 a.m. on the Perimeter, blocking traffic leaving Marietta heading toward Sandy Springs. Traffic started moving again around 6:45 a.m., but delays have remained throughout the morning.

Cobb County police are investigating the crash. The department wouldn’t say what caused the collision or if any injuries were reported but said the incident wasn’t serious enough to require the involvement of its specialized traffic investigation unit.
