The Hawks have begun their exhibition games and are nearing the start of their new season.

After an offseason in which the team’s general manager, Onsi Saleh, made some aggressive roster moves, the Hawks appear ready to make a run for a spot in the NBA playoffs, maybe even avoiding the Play-In Tournament.

The regular season begins Oct. 22 when the Hawks face the Raptors at State Farm Arena.
